eWeek reports: "Rumors have surfaced that SBC Communications Inc. has begun serious, preliminary negotiations to buy AT&T Corp., a move that would further consolidate the rapidly constricting telecommunications sector."
It is kind of ironic, that SBC is trying to buy AT&T. SBC was one of the baby-bell companies that was created when the government split up AT&T because of anti-trust issues. SBC has been on a buying spree for years, they seem to be buying every telcom company in site.
