Microsoft to Make Windows Anti-Piracy Program Mandatory

eWeek reports: "Microsoft Corp. is planning to make its currently voluntary Windows anti-piracy program mandatory some time in the second half of 2005, company officials said on Wednesday."

If you don't have a legitimate copy of Windows XP, you're going to have kiss you're Windows updates bye, bye. Then say hello to new vulnerabilities, exploits, virus, worms, and spyware. Not that you don't have them already, you just won't have the cure.

Its kind of interesting to think that Microsoft is going to use new security exploits which will be found, to force people to upgrade. We will have to see what happens.
