Want a fault tolerant Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. Anthology Solutions introduced the Linux-based Yellow Machine P400T. It is about the size of a toaster, and can store 1.6 Terabytes of data.

The device was recently unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It offers fault-tolerant RAID support (Levels 0, 1, or 5) and several other networking functions. It can be setup in two, three or four hard disk drive configurations (using an IDE/PATA interface), in addition to a non-RAID single-disk mode.

The device includes an 8-port LAN switch, router, DHCP service, a packet inspection firewall, with web control. The software housed on the device allows for automated backup of PCs, file services, as well as video and audio storage.
