When most people call a company to get help, ask a question, etc. they want to reach a real live human quickly. Although most companies phone systems are designed to make it difficult to reach a real person.
To stem the tide a site called GetHuman.com publishes a list of 800 phone numbers (when available) of several mass-market consumer companies in the US, and the process you have to go through to reach a person.
