Linux-Watch reports: "The idea that Linux is primarily a community-based project based on the work of thousands of independent, idealist hackers died a quiet death at home on March 27. ... The proximate cause of death was the Linux Foundation's naming of its new board of directors. This leading non-profit Linux organization's board included many Fortune 500 executives from around the world -- but not one representative from a purely community-based Linux organization."

Video: The Big Brother State (Privacy Issues)

The Big Brother State is an educational film about what politicians claim to be protection of our freedom but what we refer to as repressive legislation. Since terrorism has become a global threat, especially after 9/11, governments all over the world have started enforcing laws which, so the governments say, should increase national security. These laws obviously aim at another goal: the states gaining more and more control of their citizens at the cost of our privacy and freedom.

Its very rough in its current state, but just the sheer fact that they got it working is kind of cool. Maybe by the 5th or 7th generation they might have a practical product.

CNET.com reports: "Megahertz will take you only so far. Desktop processors topped the 1GHz mark in 2000, 2GHz in 2001, and 3GHz in 2002.
